I think about that date so much, I wish I had asked you not to go......to fight and stay by my side. And truly express just how much I needed you in my life. At the time, I thought not saying it out loud would prevent it from happening. As if, failure to acknowledge it made meant you would just magically recover. How foolish the human mind can be.
